Detailed Role Requirements & Responsibilities
Client Communication
You will communicate with clients and prospective customers through the company’s approved communication channels. The role requires a friendly and professional approach when answering routine questions and handling everyday requests.
Client Requests and Follow-Up
A major part of the position involves keeping track of client requests and making sure they are handled properly. You may need to follow up with clients, monitor outstanding items, and coordinate routine next steps.
Record Keeping and CRM Updates
Accurate records are important in this role. You will log conversations, update customer details, and keep CRM and other internal records current as client work progresses.
Scheduling and Coordination
You will help coordinate routine scheduling and next steps for ongoing client work. Staying organized will help ensure that appointments, follow-ups, and assigned requests are not missed.
Escalating Specialized Questions
Not every client question can be handled directly. When a request requires specialized knowledge, you will pass it to the appropriate team member and help ensure that the issue continues moving forward.
Maintaining Professional Communication
The role also involves helping maintain a consistent and professional communication experience. Careful listening, accurate information, and timely follow-up are important when working with clients.
Required Skills and Experience
This is an entry-level position, and previous professional experience is not required. Talentoma is looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A friendly and professional communication style
- Good listening and understanding skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfort using computers and everyday online tools
- Good organizational skills
- The ability to manage routine client requests
- Reliable follow-up habits
- Willingness to learn client engagement processes
- Reliable availability for full-time remote work
Skills That Can Strengthen Your Application
Previous experience is not required, but certain skills can make your application stronger. Experience with customer communication, CRM systems, scheduling tools, online collaboration platforms, or administrative tasks can be useful.
Candidates who can demonstrate that they are organized, responsive, comfortable communicating online, and capable of keeping track of multiple follow-up items may also stand out.
Industry Context & Career Advice
Client engagement roles are a practical starting point for people interested in customer service, client success, account management, sales support, or other communication-focused careers.
For an entry-level applicant, focus less on having a long work history and more on showing transferable skills. Experience from school projects, volunteer work, internships, freelance work, or other responsibilities can demonstrate communication, organization, reliability, and attention to detail.
Because this is a remote position, employers also need people who can work independently and stay productive without constant supervision. Make sure your application shows that you can manage tasks, communicate proactively, and follow through on commitments.
What to Highlight on Your Resume
When applying for this position, emphasize experience or skills related to:
- Client or customer communication
- Written and verbal communication
- Customer service
- CRM or customer record management
- Data entry and documentation
- Scheduling and coordination
- Follow-up and task management
- Remote communication
- Online collaboration tools
- Attention to detail
If you have previous customer-facing experience, describe what you handled rather than simply listing “customer service” as a skill.
Example resume bullet:
Managed routine customer communications, maintained accurate interaction records, coordinated follow-ups, and ensured outstanding requests were addressed promptly.
Interview Preparation
Candidates should be prepared to discuss how they communicate with customers, organize their workload, and handle multiple routine requests.
Potential interview topics may include:
- How would you respond to a client who has a routine question?
- How do you make sure you do not forget a follow-up?
- How would you handle a client request that you cannot answer yourself?
- What steps do you take to keep records accurate?
- How do you stay organized while working remotely?
- How would you deal with several client requests arriving at the same time?
- How comfortable are you learning new online systems and processes?
For an entry-level position, use examples from any relevant experience you have. The examples do not necessarily need to come from a previous client engagement job.
Advice for Applicants
This position may suit candidates who are starting their careers and want to gain professional experience in client communication and remote work. Since previous experience is not required, focus your application on communication, organization, reliability, attention to detail, and your ability to learn.
If you have worked with customers, handled administrative tasks, managed online communication, maintained records, or coordinated schedules in another setting, make those experiences clear on your resume.
For remote work, also show that you can manage your responsibilities independently and consistently follow up on outstanding tasks.
